Privacy policy

Elathi (elathi.xyz) is run by S. Anand Kumar in Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu, India. This policy explains what information our website and the Elathi SmartPOS app collect, why, and who sees it. For any question, write to elathiofficial@gmail.com.

Our calculators and tools run inside your browser. The numbers, text and files you enter are not sent to us and are not saved. When you close or reload the page, they are gone.

If you use a share button, your inputs are put into the link so the other person sees the same result. Only share links you are happy for others to open.

We count how many times each tool is used and liked, as totals only. These counts do not include your name, address or anything you type. Your likes and saved tools are remembered in your own browser.

We count visits to this website on our own server, without cookies. Each visit becomes a code made from your address and browser that changes every day. These visit records are deleted after 48 hours; only daily totals are kept, and we may show those totals on a public analytics page. Visits by logged-in editors and known bots are not counted.

To see how many people come back, your browser also keeps a random code in its own storage, made on your device. It is not your name, number or address, and it is not shared with anyone else. With it we count your visits, the day of your first and last visit, which visit you are on, and the site or app that sent you here. We delete codes that have not been seen for over a year. If you are in Europe or the United Kingdom, we ask you first and keep the code only if you allow it. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

On the Elathi SmartPOS page we also count what visitors do there, such as watching the film, pressing a download or free-trial button and reaching the pricing, as totals. These counts are kept apart from the names and numbers people give us in our forms.

With each visit and each time you save a tool, guide or find, your browser also sends its time zone, from which we work out your country, and whether you use a phone or a computer. We do not use your IP address for this. We keep a record of each save (the item, the time, the country, the kind of device and where on the site you pressed Save), without your name or anything that identifies you, and we may show which countries our visitors come from on this website. Countries with only a few visits are not shown.

Our forms ask for your name, your mobile number or email, how you would like us to reply and your message. We receive these on our website and by email, and use them only to reply to you and follow up on your enquiry. To download SmartPOS, we ask for your name and mobile number first. We use them to help you install and use SmartPOS and to follow up about your trial, on WhatsApp or by phone. We keep them only as long as we need to, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

When you message us on WhatsApp, the chat takes place on WhatsApp and follows WhatsApp’s privacy policy.

Some pages show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads, which can be based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s ad settings. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We may also use Google Analytics to see which pages are useful. It shows us visit totals, not who you are.

Some pages have videos hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; after that, YouTube (Google) shows the video and Google’s privacy policy applies to it.

SmartPOS licences are paid through Cashfree Payments, which handles your card, UPI or bank details under its own privacy policy. We never see those details. We receive the payment details we need to issue your licence, listed in the next section.

Elathi SmartPOS is billing software that runs on your own Windows PC.

Your shop’s data stays on your PC. Products, bills, customers, suppliers, reports and backups are stored on your computer (and on your counter PCs through your own shop network). Elathi does not receive or store them.

Licence checks. When you activate a licence and about once a day after that, the app contacts elathi.xyz with: the licence and activation code, a code that identifies this installation and this computer (a fingerprint, stored by us only in hashed or encrypted form), the app version, the Windows family, the number of active counters and, when you move a licence, the email saved on the licence. We use this only to issue and check your licence. We do not sell it.

Licence records. When you buy a licence we keep your name, business name, email, phone, GSTIN if you give it, the payment reference and amount, and the PC the licence is tied to, so we can send and support your licence.

Services you choose. Some features contact other services only when you turn them on or use them: AI helpers and cloud voice recognition (with keys you add), courier tracking (with your tracking number), help videos on YouTube, the offline voice pack download (from Hugging Face) and Canva designs (through Elathi’s Canva connector, which passes the design request to Canva). What you send then is covered by that service’s own policy.

Microphone and camera. Used only while you bill by voice or scan with a camera. Offline voice billing stays on your PC.

Children. The app is for businesses and is not meant for children.

We do not sell or rent your information. Besides us, only the services named on this page see any of it, each for its own job: Google (ads, visit statistics and the YouTube videos you choose to play), Cashfree (payments) and WhatsApp (only when you message us). Our web host and our security service also keep basic technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and safe. We share information with authorities only when the law requires it.

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it or to stop contacting you. Write to elathiofficial@gmail.com from the email or number you used with us, so we can find your details.
